Roger Kirk

Designer Biography

Roger Kirk is a Tony Award-winning set and costume designer for theatre, film and television. He has designed costumes for productions such asThe Boy From Oz with Hugh Jackman, The King and I and King Kong the Musical. Roger was the costume designer for the filmJesus Christ Superstar, and has worked extensively on set and costume design for Opera Australia. Other credits include Andrew Lloyd Webber's Whistle Down The Wind, Silver Rose and Le Corsaire for Munich Opera House. He received Tony and Helpmann Awards for Best Costume Design for The King and I, a Tony Award Nomination for 42nd Street in New York, and a Helpmann Award for King Kong The Musical. In addition to his prolific Australian reportoire, Roger has worked in New York, London, Stuttgart, Munich, China and Hong Kong.
