Eo Sharp

Designer Biography

Eo Sharp is a set and costume designer. Originally from Toronto, she has been based in Montreal since studying design at the National Theatre School of Canada.

Recent productions include this season's King Lear and the previous season's Mary Stuart at the Stratford Festival of Canada. In 2013 she won a META award for the design of Red the Segal Centre (Montreal) and in 2012 the Ottawa Critic Circles award for the design of Saint Carmen of the Main (National Arts Centre, Ottawa/ Canadian Stage, Toronto). She has long collaborated with Peter Hinton with whom she has designed over a dozen productions, including the set designs for his trilogy The Swanne which was presented over three seasons at Stratford Festival. Eo has worked extensively with smaller companies producing original Canadian work: Imago Theatre, Tableau d'Hote Theatre Company, the Other Theatre, Strange Fish, Sin 4 Productions, Women Making Scenes, and Big Art.

Eo Sharp has a BFA honours in Art History, began her career in theatre as a House manager and has been designing for twenty five years.
