Lise Klitten

Designer Biography

Lise Klitten is a professional costume designer creating costumes and scenography in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her costume design and installation works were selected for the Extreme Costume exhibit at the 2011 Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space and the World Stage Design in 2013 in Wales, UK. She has designed over fifty productions nationally. As the OISTAT Costume Design Group Head and Co-Head for the last seven years, Klitten has collaborated internationally with working costume designers arranging activities around the world.

Klitten has held solo exhibitions in the Museum Copenhagen Round Tower, and received several grants, including from the Danish Arts Foundation, the Danish National Bank Jubilee Foundation, the Wilhelm Hansen Foundation and others. In addition, she has made short films and taught at the National Theatre School and at foreign universities.
