Erika studied from 1988-1993 at the University of Industrial Arts, Helsinki, department of fashion and costume design.
Costume Designer at Finnish National Opera, August 2013 - present
Several costume design assignments as a freelance costume designer 1989 - present
Head of the costume department at the Finnish National Opera 1995-2009
Assistant of the Head of the costume department at the Finnish National Opera 2009 - 2013
Own Ateljé Hurma for custom made evening dresses and stage costumes 2010 - present
Erika lectures at the University of Industrial Arts, Helsinki and several other professional school.
