Designer Biography
Alexandra Konwinski is a Paris based costume designer since the turn of the millennium.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion and Costume Design from ESMOD International. During her studies time, Alexandra also worked as an
assistant at the Théâtre des Célestins in Lyon during two years.
She currently works across theatre, cinema, dance, events and fashion sectors, on many productions. In addition to her designwork she developed
a strong personal interest in fabrics and other materials to produce poetic creations.
She also creates for big brands, such as Swarovski, Clarins, Peugeot and Galeries Lafayette; usually unique textile pieces for special
advertising campaigns.
She believes that inspiration comes from the communication between fabric and the body. Thinking of the costume as an emotional and dramatic
character.
Her work combines her hands-on experience with fashion design skills, attention to detail, and a love for the art of storytelling.
Her style comes with a solid historical acknowledgement, always re-shaped by a modern concept.
