A.A. Bakhrushin Central State Theatre Museum

Maja Studen Petrović was born in Bačka Palanka, Serbia. She finished High School of Design "Bogdan Šuput" in Novi Sad, Serbia. She graduated and got Master of Arts degree at the Faculty of Applied Arts, University of Arts in Belgrade, at Costume Department - Studio for Stage Costume. She has been working at the same faculty as an assistant and teaching associate since 1997 and she has been a lecturer since 2004. She was the Head of Costume Department from 2009 to 2014. She has been a member of The Section of Scenographers and Costume Designers, The Association of Applied Arts Artists and Designers of Serbia (ULUPUDS) since 2000. From 2012 she is a member of Arts Council of this association. Area of interests: costume design, puppet design, fashion accessories, drawing. She has been awarded several times for her work in puppetry area. As a tutor she organised a few student's exhibitions of costume reconstruction and fashion accessories. Currently she is at the doctoral studies in Applied Art and Design. She lives and works in Belgrade.
