Grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. In December 2013, she graduated from the University of North Carolina, Asheville with a Bachelor's Degree in Sculpture. Professors/Mentors: Brent Skidmore, Sculpture, UNCA. Igor Roussanoff, Costume, UNCA

For her, the structural adornment pieces represent the crossroads created not only when fusing elements such as fashion and architecture, but also preexisting ideas with what was once foreign. Carley's work is entirely made from scrap veneer donated from a New York based Company, Certainly Wood.
