Olivera Gajic

Is New York based costume designer, born and raised in Serbia where she studied at Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade and designed the costumes for Theater and Television. Thirst for more knowledge brought her to US where she earned a Master of Fine Art in Theatre Design.

Her US carrier was propelled at Berkshire Theatre Festival where she designing for past 14 years. She design extensively for The Juilliard School, Trinity Repertory Company, Company XIV and many New York & regional theatres as well as internationally. Recently she designed new production of legendary "Everyman" at Salzburg Festival, Austria.

Olivera has been part of the US National Exhibit at the 2004&2007 Prague Quadrennial; Curtain Call: Celebrating a Century of Women Designing for Live Performance, Lincoln Center. Olivera is 2004 recipient of the NEA/TCG CDP for Designers, recipient of 2010 IT Award for Outstanding Costume Design, 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Young Master Award, 2012 Barrymore Award for Outstanding Costume Design, 2014 The Bessies New York Dance and Performance Award Nomination for Outstanding Visual Design.
