A.A. Bakhrushin Central State Theatre Museum

Shuhrat Abdumalikov is an honored activist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Professor in the Department of Scenography at Behzad Institute of Arts and Design. He is the Chairman of the Section of Theater and Cinema artists of the Uzbekistan Academy of Arts and a member of the Union of Theatrical Activists of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the present time, Abdumalikov works as the chief artist at Mukimi theater and designs for different performances in many theaters of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan as well. He is seriously focused on installation art, which he sees as trendy. Annually he installs projects that reveal the global problems of mankind.

Shukhrat started working with graphics quite recently. He tried to mix the long-standing art of icon painting of Christianity with the equally long-standing miniature art of Islam. Shukhratis a curator and organizer of the regional STSENOFEST Exhibition of theater and cinema artists, which takes place in the National Gallery of Fine Arts of Uzbekistan in Tashkent. He has designed more than 90 productions for performances in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and England.
